Bambu Lab
Tell us what the part is for. We’ll name a starting filament, then compare only what matters.

Source: Bambu Lab technical data sheets. Toughness = XY impact (kJ/m²). Strength = flexural strength (MPa). Stiffness = flexural modulus (MPa). Stretch hold = Young’s modulus (MPa). Layer bond = Z impact (kJ/m²). Heat = HDT (°C). Value = relative index, higher = more economical. Em dash = not published.

Scores come from official Bambu Lab technical data sheets. Each property is scaled 0 to 10, where 10 is the strongest filament in this set. Value is a relative index (higher = more economical). This is a comparison aid, not a substitute for printer, enclosure, or nozzle requirements.
This page compares eighteen Bambu Lab filaments using official technical data sheets: PLA, PETG HF, ABS, ABS-GF, ASA, ASA-CF, PC, PC FR, TPU 95A HF, TPU for AMS, PLA-CF, PETG-CF, PET-CF, PAHT-CF, PA6-CF, PA6-GF, PPA-CF, and PPS-CF. Everyday options (PLA, PETG HF, ABS, ASA) cover most first prints. Engineering options add glass or carbon fiber, nylon, polycarbonate, and PPS when the part must take load, heat, or weather. The two TPU grades are the flexible pair for gaskets, straps, and parts that must bend.
Start by choosing what the part is for. Looks and prototypes usually begin with PLA, then PETG HF or PLA-CF if you need toughness or a matte carbon look. Mechanical parts in this dataset point toward PC, PA6-CF, PAHT-CF, or PPA-CF. Outdoor jobs start with ASA, then ASA-CF when stiffness matters, with PC FR as a flame-rated alternative. Hot environments rank PET-CF, PAHT-CF, PPA-CF, and PPS-CF by heat deflection. Lowest cost keeps PLA, ABS, ASA, and PETG HF in view so you do not overbuy fiber-filled spool.
Every bar and shape uses the same published numbers. Toughness is XY impact in kJ/m². Strength is flexural strength in MPa. Stiffness is flexural modulus. Stretch hold is Young’s modulus. Layer bond is Z-direction impact. Heat is heat deflection temperature in °C. Value is a relative economy index, not a store price. TPU 95A HF does not publish flexural strength, stiffness, or HDT here; TPU for AMS also omits those flex numbers; PETG-CF and PET-CF have no value index in this sheet. A dash in the table means not published, not zero.
Use Fine-tune to add or remove filaments after a job pick. Carbon- and glass-filled grades (PLA-CF, PETG-CF, PET-CF, ABS-GF, ASA-CF, PAHT-CF, PA6-CF, PA6-GF, PPA-CF, PPS-CF) typically want a hardened nozzle and dry filament. ABS, ASA, PC, and PC FR print more reliably in an enclosure. Nylons absorb moisture. This guide is a comparison aid for Bambu Lab TDS data on Layers; always check your printer, AMS, and nozzle limits before you buy.
